Large and exceptionally beautiful glazed macaw on a branch by Giuseppe Tagliariol (1915-1991) , he is known for his beautiful ceramic pieces, often birds, the sleighs are rather rare. This is definitely one of the better pieces, a very realistic version of the blue macaw.
Dated circa 1960 / Italy
Beautiful deep colors under a high glaze layer.
Signed at the bottom of the tree trunk with his initials Tay.
In very good condition, minimal loss of enamel, completely normal for its age.
