Pair of ceramic Pirates by Eugenio Pattarino from the 50/60s

Eugenio Pattarino (1885–1971) was an Italian ceramic artist and sculptor renowned for his large religious statues. Born in Florence, he studied art under Giovanni Fattori and furthered his education in Venice and Frankfurt. Working from his studio near the Ponte Vecchio, he created earthenware, ceramics, and terracotta pottery alongside his sculptures. His work blended modern, traditional, and antique styles.

Pattarino retired in 1966 after a flood destroyed much of his studio’s designs and molds. His marble, terracotta, and enameled terracotta sculptures demonstrate his expertise in both realist and abstract sculpting. Collectors and admirers of period ceramic and figurative art can still find his pieces online.

Height of the figures is approximately 43 cm
